Objectives

As Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows we are faithful to the grace of our founder, the Devout Elisabetta Renzi; "we have a particular fondness for the children without homes or smiles"

We try to be respondant to the Church and to the social order of our times creating for our children a foregoing future of peace and harmony.

Our action field are the parishes where we collaborate, we do it in a special way in the catechesis, the schools, the House Homes, the Asylums, work shops, houses of assistance for students and for children with incapacities and in any work that responds to the demands of the our times.

Today, more than ever, we called to give our life in favor of the poor and the excluded. To fill the emptiness of the children, shaping them with human, moral and spiritual values, consolidating them by means of the testimony of life always guided toward Christ; to gradually increase awareness of human and Christian values in the children, so this way they will live according to them in the daily bases.

We believe that shaping should be based on the security of knowing they're valued, welcomed and loved so they can learn to accept and face their reality with maturity and liberty.

The children of Casa Hogar come from diverse backgrounds such as abandonment, violence, abuse, family disintegration, extreme poverty etc. They live (stay) 7 days a week, the 365 days a year, with the exception of some for holidays with relatives or well-known friends.

To carry out their studies at various schools, and are distributed accordingly. We make an effort to cover expenses and demands associated such as uniforms, books and school supplies as well as tuitions.
